ABOUT ASSOCREATION

Assocreation is an artist collective established in 1997.

"Assocreation deals with networks and their transitions to realities perceptible by the senses. One of their materials they work with is the ground we walk on. They manipulate it, network it, make it perceptible. In this way the "virtual world" is given a new scope, and the perception by the senses receives impulses from networks that have so far been inconceivable."

    2005
PINK PRINTS - Assocreation's street wear : 160 participants walk over 989 T-shirts with pink paint on their soles. The street-printed T-shirts are hung onto the lighting wires above. Availavle at the shops of MUMOK, Kunsthalle and MAK (A).
FREEDOM - A Public Hanging : Volunteers are hung onto a meat rail in New York City 's Meatpacking District. (Atlas Meats, USA )
FREEDOM - Lettering : The word (freedom¦ is mounted on a chain link fence of a playground at Margareten Highway ( Vienna , A).

    2004
Language of streets , competition: grant of a free studio at Schönbrunner Strasse ( Vienna , A).
FREEDOM v Austria becomes free : Installation and performance (Atelier Assocreation, Framework Gallery Vienna, A). Visitors are transported around the exhibition room on hooks, suspended over the floor in the middle of the other guests.
Airlines : Dragging slit open sacks of chalk across the pavement of cheap flight destinations: Brighton v Valencia v Zürich v Warschau v Kopenhagen v Paris

bump : a tactile interface to counter the dis-embodiedness of the network worlds. Two interactive catwalks connect the cities of Linz and Budapest in real time.
